Dharma Blue- The cure to the food blues

I recently had one of the worse workday this intern year while working at a Sacred Heart Children's Hospital. One of my intern colleague decided to be "sick" two Mondays in a row, leaving the work of 4 interns down to 2 interns... Not cool. Anyways, at the end of that very long day, I decided I need to cure the day's blues. So I went to Dharma Blue. I first found this place at the beginning of intern year, while I was craving some paella. What I discover here was a hidden gem of a restaurant, makes me feel like I'm in San Francisco again. Some of my favorite dishes here are the duck breasts, Duck Spring rolls, and Paella. They are also known for their sushi, but I'm a sushi snob... so I gave it an okay score. They have a nice menu to pick from. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Their rolling specials are sometime frustrating as I hope they would just put the duck spring rolls on their permanent menu. Quack Quack! Bring it Back!

Sushi soothing the Soul
Duck Breasts. I love Breasts!
Duck Spring Rolls. Yum...

Cerbiches y Pisco Sours- Lima, Peru

If life was a sashimi plate, I like mine to be a sampler platter of every fish. -Variety. On a recent trip to Peru to visit Machu Picchu, my friends and I also spent some time in Lima. Here we dine like kings. At La Mar... The Cerbiches were off the hook! We drank, ate and had a blast. Next to our tables was a congressman who taught us a Peruvian drinking game. The pisco sours portion were more than generous. Providing me with enough liquid courage to tell the hostess there, Tus ojos son hermosos...

Telling the Congressman, "Look here... I made some progress"

Grubbin on Gyros:

The best gyro in the Pensacola area has to be Georgio's Greek Food. It's a little shack wedged between Serranto and Gulf Beach Hwy. Get the lamb gyro... It's totally money. Get some! The dude is super friendly, they'll hook you up with good portion too. There yogurt sauce is light and fresh. The lamb is well marinated. At $7 scrilla beans it is cheap and you will definitely be satisfied.
